“I’ve spent most of my career in Operational Management, HR, People & Culture roles – and I’ve seen it all. The good, the bad, and the downright broken. What’s always stuck with me is this: people are everything.
As leaders, it’s our responsibility to create environments where people feel valued, supported, and inspired – to help them thrive, not just survive. Because when people are happy, everyone wins.
In 2017, at the age of 40, I founded Culturev8te with a burning desire to do something meaningful about it. I’d had a realisation: back in HR, at least 75% of my time was spent dealing with unhappiness – conflict, disengagement, burnout. And when I traced it back? Over 90% of it came down to poor communication – misunderstood intentions, unspoken assumptions, personality clashes.
That’s why every programme we deliver is underpinned by Insights Discovery. To lead well, we have to first understand ourselves, then others, and then understand and adapt how we show up in a team.
